ERGONOMICS

The proper development of your kitchen is a priority for you, as well as for Eliton’ s designing department. Before your research, consider how you use your space and give us as much information as possible about your habits and your needs. When you adjust a new space, be realistic as far as your future needs are concerned and when you furbish, respect your movement within this space -as a habit- and complete any changes, only if the functional profit of these is really considerable.

So, referring to your kitchen ergonomics, we suggest:
Adjust the height of your worktop in accordance to your height. If possible, choose lower height for your cooker and higher for the sink. Ergonomical researches have proven that is definitely more comfortable.

Put the dish washer and the oven aloft. Prefer a servery about 90 cm high – if you need it as a separator – it adds more space to your worktop surface and it can be used as a table when combined with stools of 60 cm high.

Gain worktop surface by placing the oven aloft. Additionally, place the microwave oven or the steamer above the oven. When your oven is placed with the cooker, place the microwave oven in a hanging drawer. Some companies of electric appliances combine microwave oven with sliding extractor fan.

Use the available mechanisms to your profit. If your space is limited, use a sliding food case and a Corner leman mechanism, in order to save about 30 cm space.

If your room is more spacious use base trolleys. Using the appropriate separators, utensils, boxes or even food can be easily reached.

Dare to store your dishes in trolleys using the appropriate dressers.

Consider at least two drawers between the sink and the cooker. There, they should be placed the cutlery box and the kitchen implements case.

Lock with a magnetic locker safemos any drawer or dresser you want to be out of reach, and protect your children from its content.

Put the cookery books on an open shelf to reach them easily.

Use wisely the wall accessories set of Eliton. Place a case for spice near the cooker and a napkin case near the sink; definitely, you will not regret it.

If you place an independent table in your kitchen, bear in mind that you need to feel comfortable while moving. A table of 80x140cm, requires a space of about 200x250 cm around it, so as 6 chairs to be placed. Consider the possibility to lean it against the wall in order to save up some space. Finally, if your space is limited, a small table leaning against a wall with 4 folding chairs is what you need.
