CLEANING YOUR FURNITURE

Use a common neutral liquid detergent diluted in lukewarm water and apply it on the surfaces with a soft sponge or cloth. Rinse off after a few minutes using a damp cloth and finally wipe off with a dry cloth.

Green soap and white vinegar diluted in water can also be very effective in the cleaning process.

All synthetic surfaces (melamine/laminate/hpl/foil coatings) can also be cleaned with common household glass cleaner. Always wipe off immediately.

If you have wooden fronts or other wooden parts in your kitchen, always remember to wipe in grain direction.

Don’t let grime spots get dried or oxidized. Pay particular attention to cooking oil or colored substances such as vinegar, vegetable or fruit juice, coffee, tea etc.) which can color the surface when absorbed. Such stains must be clean immediately.

Never use whitening, abrasive products or tools. Bleach or solvents such as acetone and alcohol should also be avoided. Before using a product for the first time, read carefully the instructions or try using it first in a concealed part of your furniture.

Be careful when using products in spray bottles. Do not exaggerate with the amount of the product and make sure that it doesn’t get into the cracks.

Don’t let water dry off on your furniture. Wipe off right after use with a soft cloth. Don’t forget that your kitchen is mainly made of wood and its derivatives which are capable of absorbing water and getting thickened.

Avoid cleaning your furniture with steam cleaning devices.

Always use your extractor fan when cooking.

Do not open the dishwasher right after the end of a washing cycle (wait approximately 30 min). Steam can cause damage to your worktop and fronts.

Stainless steel surfaces are generally cleaned in the same way as mentioned before. Periodically you can use detergents made for cleaning stainless steel and always after having taken into consideration the instructions.

Worktops are also cleaned with common washing up liquid and warm water. Always wipe off with a dry cloth.

Never place a hot utensil directly after cooking, on the worktop. Although worktop surfaces are heat resistant (short-term up to 180ο C), often hot frying pans or pressure cookers reach very high temperatures and can cause damage. So always remember to use trivets.

Always remember to use cutting boards to protect your worktop from scratches. Keep in mind that even in a material such as granite damage can be done from unsuitable use. Also keep in mind that marble (and less granite) can often absorb substances such as lemon juice, wine, coffee, oil etc.

Corian is a non-porous solid material. Corian worktops are generally cleaned just like any other worktop surface. If the stain insists, you can use a cleaning cream (e.g. VIM, AZAX), the green side of a sponge (e.g. a Scotch Brite) and water. Don’t forget to use cutting boards and trivets.

Cat’s eye stone is also a non-porous solid material. Stains of coffee, wine, tea, lemon juice etc. can be easily removed with a damp cloth while are recent. If the stain insists, you can use white vinegar diluted in water or a common vinegar based detergent. Rinse off and wipe. Do not forget to use cutting boards and trivets.

You can easily clean it with common household glass detergent and water. If the stain insists, you can also use methylated spirit diluted in water. Do not forget to use cutting boards and trivets.

Finally, all plinth covers are clip-on and can be removed easily. Door and drawers fronts, pull-outs, corner pull-outs are also adjustable. If you need any kind of re-adjustment do not hesitate to call the service department of the company.
